Reflexology offers a non-invasive means to alleviate symptoms and promote holistic well-being for cancer patients. It is the number one complementary therapy favoured by National Cancer Care Centres.
A very complex disease, cancer necessitates a comprehensive approach to treatment. Integrating conventional medical interventions with complementary therapies can help with the challenges involved with cancer treatment.
Reflexology is a therapeutic technique rooted in the principle that specific points on the feet, hands, and ears correspond to organs, glands and other parts of the body.
By applying pressure to these reflex points, practitioners seek to stimulate the body’s natural healing mechanisms, improve circulation, and restore balance to the body’s systems. For cancer patients reflexology offers a complementary approach to managing symptoms and enhancing overall well-being.
Our Reflexologist, Julie, is a registered member of N.R.R.I. (National Register of Reflexologists Ireland). Registered members are highly trained, professionally insured and adherent to strict CPD requirements.
The main aims of Reflexology for any situation:
-
To relax the body and so to reduce stress.
-
To bring the body back to a state of Homeostasis.
-
To clear energy blockages so all body systems can function normally.
