Our New Centre
In 2022 a long held goal was at last realised when RCSG acquired a permanent location. The old library building in the centre of Rathdrum was available and the purchase of this was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, donors and fundraising in our community.
A grant of €100,000 from the Department of Rural and Community Development’s Community Centre Investment Fund enabled a full renovation and refurbishment of the old library.
Rathdrum Cancer Support’s new base, ‘The Old Library’ was officially opened on 6th April 2024.
This is now drop-in centre, meeting room and has fully accessible counselling/treatment room.
We are very grateful, and would like to acknowledge, the many companies, organisations and individuals who contributed to the acquisition, renovation and decoration of our new centre.
